Pune Warriors India team squad for the IPL 2012 5th Season
Pune Warriors, the most controversial team this season has finally got the collection of the squad after they got the window period extended for the selection and buying of players, because the franchise Sahara India had backed off from sponsoring the team India and also had went off from the auctions of the IPL 5th season.
We haven’t got a confirmed list of the players from the squad of the Pune Warriors team, but what the IPL website shows as of now is:
- Sourav Ganguly (Captain and Mentor)
- Michael Clarke
- Tamim Iqbal
- Mohnish Mishra
- Graeme Smith
- Callum Ferguson
- Mithun Manhas
- Manish Pandey
- Marlon Samuels
- Dheeraj Jadhav
- Harshad Khadiwale
- Anustup Mazumdar

- Ali Murtaza
- Ashok Dinda
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar
- Sachin Rana
- Krishnakant Upadhyay
Marlon Samuels was the first foreign player signed by the Pune Warriors India, when they got the grace period to transfer players or sign new ones.
There have been many discrepancies between the franchise and the IPL committee and even the BCCI, when Sahara India had asked for a few demands, failing to fulfill which the BCCI would have seen Sahara India withdrawing the sponsorship of the Indian cricket team. Most of the players were bought during the window period, and it is said that Sourav Ganguly would be the Pune Warriors captain and mentor for the team. Earlier it was said that Sourav Ganguly and Allan Donald were going to be the coaching team for the Pune Warriors.
