Rahul Dravid announced his retirement from Cricket today, and Sachin Tendulkar was full of praises for his decision and all the contribution he had been giving to the Indian cricket since the past 16 years. Talking about the way Rahul Dravid is seen by the world, Sachin Tendulkar said there would be no other cricketer like him in the world of Cricket.
“There was and is only one Rahul Dravid. There can be no other. I will miss Rahul in the dressing room and out in the middle,” Tendulkar said.
Sachin Tendulkar is one of the Indian batsmen who spent a lot of time with the Indian test batting maestro Rahul Dravid, both on the field and in the dressing room where both the batsmen have been supporting and learning from each other since the past 15 years, and Sachin had a lot of respect for the legendary batsman always. Sachin was supportive for the decision of retirement, when Dravid talked to him on the phone discussing about the same.
Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have played some of the best innings and partnerships for the Indian team, and most of them have led to the historic wins of the Indian team, both at home and overseas. Talking about the best partnerships they both had made, Sachin said “I have shared the best moments with him. Our many century partnerships are testimony to the hours we spent together in the middle.”
Sachin Tendulkar paid a great tribute by saying that no tribute can be enough for Rahul Dravid, who has played 164 matches in test cricket, and has amassed over 13000 runs. “For someone who has played 164 matches and over 13000 runs, no tribute can be enough.”
