Royal Challengers Bangalore has always been one of the strong teams in the IPL, but they have failed to get the title although reaching the finals in the 2009 and 2011 seasons, which were won by Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings respectively. The Bangalore team is captained by the spin specialist Daniel Vettori, and the coach of the team is Ray Jennings. It has some of the best players, especially Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, Daniel Vettori, AB De Villiers etc.
M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is the official stadium and home ground of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team.
