Stats: Most runs in IPL 2012 Season – Orange Cap holder
The dominance of only one batsman in the entire IPL season was seen in this season, where Chris Gayle has taken over the run scoring table, being at the top with more than 700 runs in a single season. Although the Royal Challengers Bangalore team couldn’t enter the playoffs, Gayle did his best by keeping the spirits high and scoring for his team. One of the best knocks of his in this season was the century which included 13 sixes.
Chris Gayle is the Orange Cap winner for the 2012 season of IPL, with 733 runs scored with a century and seven fifties. He has the second highest strike rate in the top 10 batsmen list, only after Virender Sehwag.
